How to Style your Hair on Non-Wash Days with Pantene Waterless Collection

This post is sponsored by Pantene. All thoughts opinions are my own.

If you didn’t already know, I wash my hair once a week! It took a little bit of time to train my hair, but I’ve been going strong on this schedule for about 8 years! In high school, I used to wash my hair every day until I went to college. Maybe it was the dorm showers or learning to juggle a busy schedule, but I stopped washing my hair every day and started to transition to fewer washes. At first it was every other day, then 3, then 4, and worked my way to 7 days. My secret: dry shampoo! And now, I actually don’t use any product days 1-2 and start using dry shampoo on Day 3.

Over the years, dry shampoo has evolved, and the latest way I add volume to my roots is with the Pantene Waterless Collection – The Pantene Cheat Day Dry Shampoo Foam.  The pro-vitamin B5 and orchid flower water ingredients in the whipped cleansing foam dissolves oil and softens your hair while it cleanses! Tapioca from the cassava root helps absorb excess oil from the roots and scalp. The best part is that it’s sulfate, paraben and drying alcohol free. It’s a little different than regular dry shampoo, so watch how I apply in the video below.

You spray a tiny dab into your hand, and rub in under your roots by small sections. You only need a little bit! Tousle and run your fingers through your hair to brush it in, then wait about 30 seconds for it to dry! You can also brush with a hairbrush if you prefer.

In addition to using the Pantene Cheat Day Dry Shampoo Foam, I complement it with the Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist to help nourish the ends / bottom half of my hair (since the dry shampoo is really for the roots, this is for the rest of your hair).

The Pantene Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist helps detangle and get rid of my frizzy hair – and doesn’t make it greasy. Again, this product is paraben- and sulfate-free and has Omega-9 in it to help hydrate dry hair. From the blonde highlights and heat I apply to my hair, I need all the moisture I can get!

Day 3  Wear my hair blow dry styled, but add Cheat Day Dry Shampoo Foam to lift roots

Day 4 Use Cheat Day Dry Shampoo Foam + Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist to curl my hair

I usually go a few days without washing my hair. I have not found a dry shampoo that does not itch my scalp. I will have to try.

I am always looking for a good dry shampoo that does not weigh it down or make it feel like it has layers of “stuff” in it. Anna, your hair looks amazing and not “heavy” looking. It is on my shopping list!
