If you’re looking for a relaxing, luxury vacation in Nashville while still being close to all the action – look no further than the Grand Hyatt Nashville for your couples vacation in Nashville. Relax at the R&R Wellness Spa with couples massages, lounge at the pool overlooking Broadway, and enjoy cocktails on the indoor and outdoor rooftop bar on 25th floor.
Ross & I absolutely stayed at the Grand Hyatt Nashville for my birthday staycation. We live in a Nashville suburb, so coming downtown is usually a trek, and require expensive Uber’s. The fact that we were staying downtown, on Broadway, without a care in the world about how to get home, made me feel like a hometown tourist!
Lou/Na Rooftop Bar & Restaurant – Grand Hyatt Nashville
We checked in, chilled a little in our hotel robes, then went straight to the rooftop cocktail lounge Lou / Na. So convenient to be staying that hotel that boasts one of the tallest rooftop bars in the city. Even locals come here to drink! For the most Instagram worthy drink, I highly recommend the Moxie Dewdrop. Ross got the Smoke & Mirrors mezcal tequila, and ordered 4 of them so let’s just say they hit the spot. The trout dip was a perfect appetizer!
R&R Wellness Spa Review – Grand Hyatt Nashville
My actual birthday, our agenda consisted of pure relaxation. The R&R Wellness Spa delivered one of the best massages I’ve ever had. You know when they ask how hard you like the pressure? And you say hard, but then barely feel anything in the massage? This was the first massage I ALMOST tapped out and said a little softer. It felt so good on my muscles I knew I needed.
R&R Wellness Spa also offers a variety of facials – including a hydrafacial! Ross got his first (and apparently has even better skin than me) and I opted for a more relaxing massage facial experience.
In addition to the amazing spa services, you get access to the mens and womens lounge. I technically didn’t see the men’s lounge, but the women’s was absolutely outstanding. I’m now inspired to add a pink mosaic tile wall to a bathroom in my home! They had individual steam rooms and showers and a group dry sauna. Overall, I spent a few hours the spa another just enjoying the lounge room!
Grand Hyatt Nashville Rooftop Pool
After a morning of pampering, we went out to the pool area. A variety of couches, tables, lounge chairs, cabanas and even water lounge chairs – it was pool with plenty of seating! The pool is surrounded by amazing views – including the historic Union Station across the street along with the blue sky reflection off the building’s windows mixed with the turquoise waters.
Broadway Nashville – What to do
The Grand Hyatt Nashville is also close to Broadway and all the nightlife Nashville has to offer. If you are looking for something less touristy – head to 5th and Broadway – the newest shopping and restaurant plaza. Just 4 blocks from The Grand Hyatt, you have over a dozen restaurant options, including an Assembly Hall food court style filled with Nashville based restaurants. I recommend Twelve – Thirty Club for a casual, upbeat dinner with live music! There might be some dancing too!
And if you want to experience the traditional Broadway scene, it’s just another block down on Broadway!
Overall, we had an amazing stay and will do it again! You can book your stay at the Grand Hyatt Nashville here and can see more Nashville travel guides here.
