Ultimate Guide to Fall Trends 2019

Instead of posting trend guides and fall pieces for the season in individual blog posts….I decided to round them all up in ONE PLACE making it way easier for you to shop your for fall! Below are the key categories and pieces I wear on the regular in fall and winter. Happy shopping!

EVERYTHING ANIMAL PRINT – Snakeskin + Leopard

Animal prints are considered a neutral at this point. These prints match so much more than you think, and add such a fun pop to an outfit! Leopard has always been in, but I’m seeing more snakeskin this year and here for it!

Snakeskin
Leopard Sweaters
Leopard Skirts, Dresses & Pants
Leopard Jackets and Tops
Leopard Accessories
Leopard Shoes

PLAID

Nothing screams fall more than plaid, especially in button up form! Or do you call it button down? I can’t decide which one I say more / which one is the proper term. See 4 ways to style a flannel button down here! If you’re looking to try something more adventurous with your plaid print, a skirt or blazer is a great option! Read 6 ways to style a blazer outside the 9 -5 here.

LEATHER

Can you survive the fall and winter season without a leather jacket or leather leggings? Finding the right leather leggings for you is already a burdensome task, so I’ve got an entire guide dedicated to finding the right leather leggings here. Same with jackets – you can read the full post here, but you can also shop my favorite current picks below. I’m a big fan of finding real leather on sale for jackets, but faux leather all the way for leggings.

Jackets – Real Leather (all on sale, the first one is $114 instead of $470!)
Jackets – Faux Leather
Leggings

SUEDE

Busting out my suede jacket is my go to outift for fall. Pair with a silky lace trim cami, jeans and booties. In addition to suede jackets, I’m loving all the suede skirt trends!

Skirts /Shorts
Jackets – Genuine
Jackets – Faux

SWEATERS

Sweaters alone deserves its own category. Because who doesn’t love a sweater?!? Cozy and perfect for any occasion. Personally, I’m allergic to wool, so I shop and share cotton and polyester blends more than sweaters with wool (cashmere, merino wool, rabbit hair, etc). Shop my favorite picks this season!

Open Cardigan Sweaters
Chunky Sweaters
Affordable Sweaters Under $35

Ponchos / Capes

What do you call these things? Ponchos? Capes? Draped Sweater? Dolman Sleeves? Anyway, they basically look and act like a giant blanket scarf with arms. SO COZY. GREAT FOR LAYERING. Easy to eat a lot of food at thanksgiving and to comfortably have a giant food baby that doesn’t show…that’s all I need to know right there! If you’re looking for blanket scarves, check out this post here.

JEANS

Finding the right pair of jeans can be hard. I only wear high rise jeans at this point, with the occasional mid-rise. All the jeans I recommend or list below are brands I personally wear and love. My favorites.

  • Designer: AG Farrah High Rise, Rag and Bone 10 inch Skinny, Good American Good Legs and Good Waist
  • Affordable: Articles of Society, STK Blue, Blank NYC, Levi 721 High Rise Skinny, Old Navy Rock Star
