When I picture the word corduroy, it instantly brings me
back to the playground days in elementary school in Michigan. I’m playing outside in the
crisp fall air, feet crunching on leaves, and running around with a thick, velvety
material covering my legs in a color that matches the fall scenery. Here in Tennessee, I’m still waiting for those fall colors to emerge…

Corduroy is a trend that’s recycled regularly, and the trends for Fall 2018 include the jumper
dress, pants, mini skirts,
and jackets. Traditionally, corduroy pants are
seen every year, but in more traditional straight leg, skinny or boot cut
styles.

I’m loving this year’s spin with a high waist and wide leg
flares. This Top Shop Zipper pair really caught my eye with major 70s vibes from the
flare, tight legging look, and zipper high waist. I also found a similar pair in camel for only $27!

Corduroy is usually a more stiff material, but it wasn’t the
case with these Top Shop high waist flared corduroys. They fit as comfortable
to leggings, with an elastic waist and tight fitting to the leg. The tall zipper
closure with ring detail really sealed the deal, adding a flattering focal
point to the outfit as a whole.

If I still haven’t convinced you trying the trendiest
version of corduroy isn’t your thing, I’ve linked a few more traditional pair of corduroys: Forever 21 pair for $27, a quality J.Crew pair, or trendy Urban Outfitters pair.

I’m also sharing my favorite corduroy in all styles – my
mini skirt picks and dress/jumper picks –see below! Are you going to wear
corduroy this season? If so, which style are you going for? Comment below!
