Oh, I love an excuse to dress to theme. And there’s no
better place than a sold out stadium filled with dedicated tween girls giving
you their interpretation of the best Taylor look during her reign.

For me, I honestly just wanted to wear fishnets. WHAT A
PERFECT EXCUSE TO WEAR FISHNETS. So the fishnet element started the outfit
inspo, and I turned to her Look What You Made me Do (LWYMMD) music video to
complete the look.
There’s a scene where she’s in fishnets and tall booties in the
video, and that’s the look I based my outfit on. Do you think they are similar?
I prefer to put my own spin on it instead of copying exactly – that way I can use as much as possible already in my closet.
Taylor’s Music Video outfit: Fishnets, tall black boots with OTK socks,
black spandex, black longsleeve crop top with interwoven fishnet
My version: Fishnets, tall black booties, black leather
skirt, black cutout top
Overall, I put the affordable look together using a black
tank and leather skirt already in my closet, only purchasing the cheapest, but
cute, black booties I could find for $33 and a 5 pack of fishnets for $11. Shop the whole post below!
Note on the booties sizing – they
run really small, reviews said to order 1 size up. I’m usually a 7 or 7.5, and
was going to order an 8. I couldn’t find a size 8 with fast enough shipping, so
I went with an 8.5. A little big, but they would work. I ended up walking 3
miles in them that night, with a 4 inch heel, and was perfectly fine!!
If you go to a Taylor Swift
concert, do you dress to theme? Do you copy a look exactly, or make it your own?
