One of the main factors I consider when buying a new piece is how often and how many ways I can wear it. Outfit options were running through my head in the fitting room, and new it was an essential item as we transition to spring! Pair with tank tops, cardigans, sweaters, a button down, and more!
From solids to patterns, this is also a neutral enough color and print to complement another pattern. Mastering mixing patterns can be tricky, and this is a great skirt to start testing the print mixing waters. My favorite combinations are dot+stripe or floral+stripe (stripes are key for me!) The color of the skirt is a perfect in between of navy and royal blue – you can see the different hues depending on lighting!
See the first 6 ways I paired this skirt below, and I’m sure I’ll come with more this spring! Follow along at @annadanigelis on Instagram for daily look inspiration. Which way will you wear the most?
For Warmer Days – Off the Shoulder Crop Top
With the high waist of the skirt, the crop top is the perfect length!
For Colder Days – Sweater
A navy / white stripe cardigan is a must, basically neutral. The mini bell sleeves on this sweater make it my navy white/navy combo in my closet for less than $50!
In / Out of Air Conditioning – Tank + Cardi
Weather fluctuating? Throw over any colored cardigan!
The Safari – Chambray
Switch it up and tie the chambray shirt instead of tucking it in!
French Flair – Neck Scarf
A basic white tee and a neck scarf change the entire look! Favorite silk scarfs below for under $15 (and an double as a hair scarf)
The American – Red, White & Blue
Okay, confession, I ran out of daylight for the last picture of the red cami + midi skirt. But this is poppy colored cami pairs perfectly with the royal/navy blue skirt! It’s one of the best lace camis on the market for $35 and comes in 6 or 7 colors!
