Real vs Faux Leather Jackets

Still on the hunt for a NYE party dress? In last week’spost, I featured a $55 long sleeve dress. This week, I’m bringing in a few more
metallic dresses into the mix – an edgy look with a mini sweater dress paired
with a leather jacket, and a metallic multi-colored wrap dress.

Silver Metallic Mini

The silver metallic mini dress is super short, even for us
short girls as 5’2”. Since it was also sleeveless, it needed a little balance
and so an addition of a leather jacket complete the look. Since the colors are
so neutral, shoe possibilities are endless. Instead of going colorful or a pattern, I kept it simple yet subtly edgy with lace up heels.

Metallic Faux Wrap
Dress

The metallic multicolored dress is a little more formal,
with a faux wrap and deep v. The way it reflects in light is gorgeous! Fair
warning, sticky boobs are necessary (and forgot mine). It’s too low cut for a
regular bra, so I ended up safety pinning it because it was the only quick fix
from supplies in my car. Regardless, still love the dress!

Leather Jackets

It’s one of the few investment pieces I recommend going real leather over faux -it’s worth the splurge. The smell, the softness, and the not shiny/vinyl material makes it more luxurious. I’m always on the hunt for one at stores like Nordstrom Rack or Neiman Marcus Last call. This one is 60% off from Last Call and down to $150 for genuine leather,  originally $579. Shop other picks below, I even featured a few premium faux leather jackets that were less than $100. Hover to see price, but some are on sale and they don’t reflect the sale price, so it’s best to click!
